The Argyle High School Cross Country Program is looking forward to an exciting 2019 season! We have a lot of talented runners returning from last year's team, and we expect to have more incoming freshmen join the program than ever before. Between the boys team and the girls team, we expect to have anywhere from 70-80 runners, which is the most in program history!
With our eyes set on the State Meet in early November, both the boys and girls teams will be competing at the prestigious McNeil Invitational on September 28th. This race takes place in Round Rock on the same course where the State Meet is held. Our hope is that by competing in it, our runners will be prepared and motivated to make it back to that course for State in November.
By raising funds each year, we are more likely to be able to enter prestigious meets like the McNeil Invitational. Once funds have been allocated to cover all the expenses associated with this particular meet (transportation, hotel rooms, etc.), all additional funds raised will roll over to future teams and hopefully allow us to enter other prestigious meets.
It would be an honor to have you partner with us, the AHS Cross Country Program, as we look to build traditions, make lasting memories, and represent the town of Argyle with pride, both this year and in years to come!
Good Luck!!!
We are giving because we know that Coach Sutton is trying to build a strong XC program, and we believe in him and the boys of the XC Team! We love that long, red line!
Go AXC!!!!
