We are Daisy, Natalie, and Angela, members of the 2017 graduating class of the Academy for Global Studies at Austin High School, and we are attempting to address the lack of feminine hygiene products available in the school. Our goal is to raise enough money to install dispensers in some, if not all, of the girls' restrooms. Because a school day is eight hours long and most feminine hygiene products must be changed more often than every eight hours, it is important for menstruating girls to have the proper hygiene products while they are at school, not only for health reasons but also so they can get the most out of their educational experience. Girls do not typically announce their periods and the nurse no longer supplies feminine hygiene products in her office, so in order to address that lack in the school and also respect the privacy of girls that need products, we feel the best course of action is to install dispensers in the girls' restrooms. Aside from the dispensers, we will use the rest of our money to purchase quarter rolls to give to teachers. The teachers will be able to hand them out to students who don't have money to buy the products, so that way, each person has access to these products, even if they can't afford them. We appreciate all donations and hope you will feel as passionate about this cause as we do!

One of my grandnieces goes to Austin High. Applause to the organizers of this worthwhile campaign which should have been unnecessary.
i feel it is necessary for young women and grown women alike to have easy access to things like this, especially in a public school that is willing to give free lunches to those who need it.
This is a great project to support!
